Vision, Mission, Objectives and Strategy

A vision and mission guide everything an organisation does. Under Articles 23 to 26 of Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Regulation No. 26 of 2017 on the Statute of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, the vision, mission, objectives and strategy of Politap are as follows.

Mission

  • Provide vocational education in agriculture and mining that prepares human resources for regional and national development;

  • Conduct and develop applied research that benefits science and technology;

  • Carry out community service to improve public welfare;

  • Manage the tridharma of higher education according to the principles of good governance; and

  • Foster an academic atmosphere that improves the quality of human resources and of learning, encouraging lifelong learning and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Objectives

  • Produce capable people who master applied science and technology in agriculture and mining for regional and national development;

  • Produce applied research that benefits the advancement of science and technology, business and industry, and society;

  • Deliver community service based on applied technology and services to improve public welfare;

  • Build an education management system that meets the principles of good governance; and

  • Produce graduates of noble character and ethics, with outstanding competence, who are competitive nationally and internationally.

Strategy

  • A long-term development plan covering 25 (twenty-five) years of plans and programs;

  • A strategic plan covering 5 (five) years of plans and programs; and

  • An operational plan that breaks the strategic plan down into programs and activities for 1 (one) year.
