National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP)
SNBP
Description
The National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) draws on the applicant's academic record: report cards plus academic and non-academic achievements. For three-year senior high, vocational and Islamic schools, semesters one to five are counted; for four-year vocational schools, semesters one to seven. The three best achievements are assessed.
Objectives
-
Give high-achieving students of senior high, vocational and Islamic schools in Indonesia and abroad (Sekolah Republik Indonesia) the chance to study at a state university.
-
Let state universities recruit new students with high academic achievement through a minimum quota of 20 percent, with selection costs borne by the government.
