BAN-PT Assessor Team Conducts Accreditation Visit to Mining Technology Study Program

The Mining Technology Study Program of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) received a visit from assessors of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), Wednesday–Friday, 26–27 September 2018.

The visitation presented two assessors: Prof. Dr. Ir. Subagyo Pramumijoyo, DEA., Dip., HRD from Universitas Gadjah Mada and Dr. Barlian Dwi Nagara, MT from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Yogyakarta. The arrival of the BAN-PT assessors was welcomed by the Head of the Mining Technology Study Program, Julyan Purnomo, SST., along with lecturers from the Mining Technology Study Program.

This visitation process is a follow-up step in the study program accreditation. The assessor team clarifies the contents of the forms they received by observing factual conditions, particularly regarding teaching and learning facilities and other supporting facilities such as classrooms, libraries, laboratories, and other supporting infrastructure.

This visitation process aims to improve the quality of academic management within educational institutions. The submitted forms are verified and validated by the two assessors.

The timeline for the assessment results following this visitation is usually variable. Once the results are released, the accreditation of the Mining Technology Study Program will be ratified through a BAN-PT decree. (AS)
