After a long and winding process, the continuation of the construction of Politap's Integrated Lecture and Laboratory Building, which has been classified as Construction in Progress (KDP), will be carried out in the near future. This was confirmed following a pre-construction coordination meeting for the Construction of Politap's Integrated Lecture and Laboratory Building held on 6 February 2020 at the Public Works and Public Housing Agency of West Kalimantan Province, attended by the contractor, supervisory consultant, the West Kalimantan Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center, and Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic), represented by technical staff member Normansyah.

The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang welcomed the resumption of the building's construction, stating that the facility is urgently needed because the existing building capacity cannot accommodate expanded access, while lectures for the 8 (eight) existing study programs currently must run from morning to night. Therefore, the institution expressed its gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Culture or Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing for facilitating the continuation of this project.

Vice Director for General Affairs and Finance Encik Eko Rikowaty added that efforts to resume the construction of this building and laboratory have been underway for a long time. In 2016, a special-purpose audit was carried out by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) West Kalimantan Representative Office to assess asset conditions and the urgency of resuming construction. Subsequently, in 2019, a review was conducted by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) West Kalimantan Representative Office, leading to the continuation of construction under the Education, Sports, and Market Infrastructure Development of the Settlement Infrastructure Implementation Working Unit of West Kalimantan Province, with Politap serving as the grant recipient of the completed construction in accordance with regulations. Encik further added that the construction of the Integrated Lecture and Laboratory Building is intended to meet infrastructure standards for the D-III Electrical Engineering, D-III Information Technology, and D-IV Civil Engineering study programs.
