Held at the Borneo Emerald Hotel Ketapang on Thursday, 4 March 2021, the Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) attended the 6th Branch Conference (Muscab) of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) Ketapang. This branch conference was attended by the Acting Regional Secretary of Ketapang Regency, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, the Head of the Youth and Sports Agency, the Head of the Cooperatives, SMEs, Trade and Industry Agency of Ketapang Regency, and young entrepreneurs in Ketapang Regency.

Representing the Regent, Acting Regional Secretary of Ketapang Regency Suherman welcomed the convening of this 6th Muscab because, in addition to strengthening ties and cooperation, it also produces formulations to yield decisions in the work program of the Ketapang Regency HIPMI branch management board. “This 6th HIPMI Muscab is a step forward for the Ketapang Regency HIPMI organization to perform better so that it will provide great benefits both to members and for regional development,” he said.

At the Ketapang Regency HIPMI (Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association) Muscab, Citra Eka Syandi, ST, MT was elected by acclamation as Chairman of HIPMI for the 2021–2024 period, replacing Sudirman Talib SE, the previous chairman. Elected HIPMI Chairman Citra Eka Syandi, ST, MT conveyed his vision for a synergistic HIPMI, where business actors in Ketapang can collaborate with one another, including with the government. With collaboration, we will become stronger, more resilient, and grow, as well as have a greater voice in our own region. Especially now in the Industry 4.0 era, business actors inevitably must be prepared and adapt to transform into the digital era.

In addition, HIPMI will map out business actors, especially those who have joined HIPMI, so that identifying problems and channeling through the networks to be built by HIPMI will become easier. HIPMI is expected to serve as a facilitator in improving soft skills, particularly in the field of entrepreneurship. Trainings that were previously held, such as the HIPMI Business Class, will continue alongside programs that have not yet been implemented; in the future, HIPMI will also collaborate with Politeknik Negeri Ketapang to establish Higher Education HIPMI (HIPMI-PT).

Endang Kusmana, Director of Politap, stated readiness to synergize with HIPMI in establishing HIPMI-PT through efforts to foster prospective new entrepreneurs among students in synergy with HIPMI.
