This training program was organized by the Directorate General of Vocational Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) to foster the global competence of vocational lecturers, taking place from 7 November to 2 December 2022.

Endang Kusmana, Director of Politap, warmly welcomed the qualification of one of his lecturers for this international training, stating that it demonstrates Politap's readiness to answer the challenges and demands of the Industrial Revolution 4.0—namely vocational higher education lecturers who are required to possess competence, insight, and knowledge regarding international-scale industrial developments and dynamics.  Endang added that in addition to obtaining international certification, during the internship program at several overseas universities and major industries, the lecturer is expected to gain as much knowledge, insight, and experience as possible in delivering vocational education learning processes at globally reputed institutions, as well as being tasked with establishing cooperation and networking with universities in the host country.

Endang hopes that upon returning to the Politap campus, the lecturer will serve as a change agent and project leader for change and innovation for the home institution. Through such transformation and innovation, Politap is expected to be brought into a sound and robust vocational higher education ecosystem and governance toward achieving a global reputation and readiness to compete on the international stage.
