KETAPANG – Tuesday (21/03/2023). Located in the Directorate Building Hall of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic), Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Politap) and the Ketapang Journalists Alliance (AJK) agreed to sign a cooperation agreement for the development of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang and the Ketapang Journalists Alliance. The scope of this cooperation follows the Higher Education Tri Dharma across existing study programs through Education, Research, and Community Service.

Theo Bernadi, Chairman of the Ketapang Journalists Alliance, stated that this was the first time AJK held the ‘AJK Goes to Campus’ program. Moving forward, AJK will regularly conduct journalistic training for Politap students. This journalism training aims to develop human resources, particularly Politap students, in terms of writing skills.

Director of Politap, Irianto SP, expressed a similar sentiment, stating that this was the first time Politap had partnered with journalists. He hoped that this activity would mark the beginning of collaboration between Politap and AJK in realizing the Higher Education Tri Dharma. This cooperation is expected to help develop the potential of Politap students to support their studies, such as writing journal articles, scientific papers, final projects, and more.

In addition, by collaborating with journalists, Politap has more media options for publication channels beyond its own in-house media. The publications aim to showcase the works of lecturers and students, faculty achievements in carrying out the Higher Education Tri Dharma, as well as students' academic and non-academic accomplishments.

Through these publications, Politap hopes that the public in West Kalimantan, particularly Ketapang Regency, will become more familiar with Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, thereby increasing the enthusiasm of Ketapang residents to send their children to study at Politeknik Negeri Ketapang. (Finan Su)
