Held in the Integrated Lecture Building Hall of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) (Ketapang State Polytechnic, Politap) on Wednesday, 17 February 2021, the Director of Politap swore in 30 Civil Servants within Politeknik Negeri Ketapang. This event was an implementation of Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 53 of 2010 concerning Civil Servant Discipline, specifically Article 3, which stipulates that every civil servant is required to take the civil servant oath/pledge.
In his address during the oath-taking ceremony, Endang Kusmana welcomed the 30 civil servants as agents of change to enhance the tridharma (three pillars) services of higher education, thereby adding value both internally and externally for Politap. According to him, taking this civil servant oath/pledge represents the culmination of a civil servant's journey, starting from passing the CPNS selection, serving as a CPNS, to completing basic CPNS training. Endang hoped that all civil servants at Politeknik Negeri Ketapang would work to improve the quality of vocational education in developing Politap Membangun Vokasi Dari Desa (Politap Building Vocational Education from the Villages).
Furthermore, Endang hoped that the civil servants who took the oath/pledge would consistently implement the core values of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN), namely accountability, nationalism, public ethics, quality commitment, and anti-corruption (abbreviated as ANEKA), as fundamental values to be internalized and practiced in their daily duties. According to Endang, the ANEKA core values will serve as a reference and basic foundation shaping the character of competitive and competent civil servants to realize the vision of a world-class civil service by 2045.
Specifically, Endang also conveyed Politap's work vision and mission emphasizing the Politap Four-S organizational values to be cultivated: 1) Smart, where every member of the academic community must be astute and meticulous in observing things, consistently creative with new ideas, and prioritize logical thinking in solving problems; 2) Speed, where every member of the academic community must be swift in delivering services, treating others as they would like to be treated, and continuously improving service delivery systems; 3) Sincere, where every member of the academic community must uphold sincerity, ethics, and integrity in academic life, research, and community service, while adhering steadfastly to applicable norms and regulations within the campus, society, nation, and religion in their respective professions; and 4) Solid, working by prioritizing togetherness for the benefit of Politap.
The civil servant oath/pledge was administered to 21 lecturers, 5 technician education personnel, and 4 administrative education personnel, witnessed by clergy representing Islam, Christianity, and Confucianism.
