Irianto SP Elected as Director of Politap for 2022–2026

Ketapang, 5 December 2022, Irianto SP, S.ST, M.MA, a lecturer in the Department of Plantation Product Management, was elected Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) for the 2022–2026 period after securing 13 votes, while Rusdaniyar, ST, M.Eng received 7 votes  and Rusadi, ST.MT obtained 6 votes. The appointment and dismissal process for state higher education leaders involves prospective candidate screening, candidate selection, election, and the determination as well as the inauguration of the candidate Director.

The election of the candidate Director of Politap for the 2022–2026 period involved the Politap Senate with 65% of the votes and the Minister with 35% of the votes. Out of the 18 senate members, 17 were present and 1 was absent, making the Minister's voting portion 9 votes. Present at this election as the Minister's proxy was Acting Secretary of the Directorate General of Vocational Education (Ditjen Diksi) Saryadi, S.T., MBA, as well as the coordinator for legal, administrative, and staffing affairs, Suparjo.

Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang Endang Kusmana was pleased that the election process for the Director of Politap ran very democratically and conducively. Endang hoped this process would foster a culture of quality in electing higher education leaders, while Mr. Saryadi hoped that Politap would continue to maintain strong performance in support of every government program, particularly Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka.

Elected Director Irianto SP expressed his gratitude for the trust given by all parties throughout the election process, affirming his commitment to continually improve Politap's performance to produce graduates who meet expected competencies.
