Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) Endang Kusmana, accompanied by Head of Cooperation Martanto and Public Relations Officer Januarso, conducted a working visit to PT Kayong Agro Lestari (PT.KAL) on 1 July 2020. This working visit was a follow-up to the ongoing partnership between Politeknik Negeri Ketapang and PT Kayong Agro Lestari (a business group of PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk (ANJ)). This visit aimed to enhance the cooperation that has been established between the company and Politap.
Endang Kusmana was received by the management of PT.KAL and engaged in discussions to formulate partnership classes as a realization of the link and match between polytechnics and industry. Current collaboration already includes the involvement of PT.KAL in curriculum development for study programs at Politap and student internship programs. On this occasion, discussions were held regarding the deepening of the developed curriculum, opening partnership classes, utilizing lecturers from PT.KAL, implementing lectures under a dual system, and company recruitment of partnership class graduates. The development of cooperation will be carried out by submitting a comprehensive concept from Politap to PT.KAL, which will subsequently be reviewed by the company. Both Politap and PT.KAL agreed to improve the quality of human resources around the company's operational area and boost company productivity. The event, which began with guest health screenings in accordance with health protocols at the company clinic, followed by discussions, lunch, and concluded with a tour of the palm oil mill, serves as a springboard toward a closer union between Politap and PT Kayong Agro Lestari to strengthen the link and match.
