Politap and SMKN 1 Muara Pawan Ready to Implement SMK-DII Program

The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) received a working visit from the Principal of State Vocational High School (SMKN) 1 Muara Pawan Ketapang, Anggoro Suwarno, at the Politeknik Negeri Ketapang campus on Wednesday, 21 October 2020. Also present at this meeting were Martanto from the partnership division and Amanda, a partnership staff member.

The visit by the Principal of SMKN 1 Muara Pawan was related to the planned collaboration for the 4-year SMK-DII fast-track class, which is currently being developed across 20 polytechnics as a pilot project. Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, as one of the designated campuses, has prepared itself through various operational meetings with vocational schools. For this initial phase, Politap will collaborate with SMKN 2 Ketapang and SMKN 1 Muara Pawan.

Endang Kusmana stated that the collaboration between vocational high schools, polytechnics, and industry represents a synergistic program to improve the quality of human resources in Ketapang and is part of his work program, Building Vocational Education from Villages (Membangun Vokasi Dari Desa), under the Synergistic Village (Desa Sinergi) category.

Anggoro Suwarno welcomed this collaboration warmly and expressed gratitude to Politap for involving them in the fast-track class partnership. His side is ready to collaborate while awaiting official assignment from the Ministry of Education and Culture regarding operational permits for the SMK-DII fast-track or accelerated classes.
