Politap and Untan Hold SNPMB Info Session, Attended by High School and Vocational Teachers Across Ketapang and KKU

KETAPANG – Monday (06/02/2023). Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic)  in collaboration with Universitas Tanjungpura held an information session on the 2023 National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB). Held in the Directorate Building Hall of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, the hybrid event was attended by principals and/or teachers from high schools and vocational schools across Ketapang Regency and North Kayong Regency.

This event aimed to provide early information regarding the National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) for Higher Education for the 2023 Academic Year. Additionally, it was expected that teachers would guide their students to maximize the potential of each prospective student.

The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, Mr. Irianto SP, opened the event by delivering welcome remarks as the host. In his remarks, he expressed his hope that more high school and vocational school graduates would continue their education to higher education, especially to Politeknik Negeri Ketapang for graduates in Ketapang Regency and  KKU. By attaining the qualifications possessed by college graduates, opportunities to be absorbed into the local job market available in Ketapang will be greater.

Meanwhile, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of Universitas Tanjungpura, who was also present at the event, emphasized in his speech that the quality of graduates does not entirely depend on the alma mater, but rather on the quality of human resources themselves. He further noted that it is the duty of instructors and educators involved in educational institutions to enhance the potential of existing human resources so they emerge as qualified graduates in their respective fields.

The information session featured three topics: the 2023 State University SNPMB and Study Program Profiles within Politeknik Negeri Ketapang presented by Dr. Anto Susanto, S.ST., M.P. as the Vice Director for Academic Affairs of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang.

This was followed by a presentation on KIP Kuliah by the Head of KIP Kuliah at Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, Mr. Epriyandi, S.T., M.T., and concluded with a review of the 2022 Admissions Retrospective and 2023 Admissions Quotas presented by the SNPMB Implementation Coordinator of Universitas Tanjungpura, Mr. Sirhan, S.Kom.

The 2023 National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) information session was also broadcast virtually via live stream on the Politap Official YouTube channel, ensuring that teachers, students, and parents who could not attend in person could still receive the information provided during the event.
