Politap Conducts Concrete Quality Testing for Solar Street Lighting in West Kalimantan

Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) was entrusted by PT. Bumikharisma Lininusa Jakarta to conduct strength and quality testing of concrete foundations for Solar Public Street Lighting (PJUTS) across West Kalimantan. The activity was carried out in several regencies in West Kalimantan from 22 April to 5 May 2021.

Director of Politap Endang Kusmana welcomed the trust placed by industry in Politap. Endang hoped that polytechnic lecturers and technicians would optimally utilize their competencies  so that their contributions benefit society in the fields of education, research, and community service. He assigned Julian Purnomo, Study Program Coordinator, and two technicians, namely Rahmat Ariyanto and Faisal.

Meanwhile, Julian Purnomo, Study Program Coordinator of DIV  Road and Bridge Construction Engineering Technology, stated that this activity reflects industry confidence in the capabilities of Politap lecturers and technicians. According to Julian, his team utilized the hammer test method to test concrete strength in Ketapang Regency, Sintang Regency, Landak Regency, Bengkayang Regency, Mempawah Regency, Singkawang City, Sambas Regency, Kayong Utara Regency, and Kubu Raya Regency.
