Politap Director's Working Visit to PT Sinar Mas Group Ketapang

The collaboration between Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) and PT Sinar Mas Group has long been established since Politap was founded in 2008, particularly in student internships and curriculum development. In order to enhance this existing collaboration and closely align with the Vocational Education revitalization program, the Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, accompanied by the Vice Director for Academic Affairs, the Head of Cooperation, and the Head of Public Relations, conducted a working visit to the Ketapang representative office of PT Sinar Mas Group.

During the meeting, various current issues regarding the revitalization of vocational education were discussed, especially the drive to improve the quality of link and match. Endang Kusmana stated during the meeting that his institution aims to develop a more synergistic partnership by actively listening to industry needs regarding expected graduate profiles. To that end, the proposed initiative aims to expand collaboration beyond curriculum development and current internships to include training, employee recruitment, guest lecturers, research, community service, and support for implementing Kampus Merdeka through a dual system.

The company warmly welcomed these ideas and expressed readiness to discuss them with its head office. Politeknik Negeri Ketapang is expected to promptly submit its proposal through a more targeted and synergistic terms of reference.
