Ketapang, 9-10 December 2025 – Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) (Ketapang State Polytechnic, Politap) held the Politap Open House 2025 on 9–10 December 2025 at the Politap Campus. Initiated by the Academic, Administration, and Student Affairs Bureau (BAAK), this annual event was designed to promote Study Programs while providing space for high school students (SMA/SMK/MA) across Ketapang Regency to channel their creativity and develop their potential.
Carrying the theme “Creative Gen-Z, Smart in Choosing the Future,” this year's Open House featured a varied, interactive, and educational series of activities. Students from various schools across Ketapang enthusiastically attended the Study Program Exhibition (Prodi Expo) and took part in several creative competitions organized by the committee.
The event was officially opened by the Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of youth readiness in confronting technological advancements and the demands of the digital era. According to him, the Open House is not merely a campus introduction, but also an opportunity for students to explore their interests, talents, and future educational directions.
“Through this Open House, we want to provide students with firsthand experience of the vocational world. They can see the facilities, understand the competencies of each study program, and try various activities that can inspire their future,” he stated.
Over the two days, all Study Programs at Politap opened exhibition booths in Lecture Building I. Through the Prodi Expo, students had the opportunity to learn about curricula and core competencies, discuss directly with lecturers and college students, watch equipment demonstrations and practical sessions, and view various student works. Information regarding career opportunities and industry needs was also thoroughly delivered to help students understand the prospects of vocational education.
The Prodi Expo became one of the main attractions for students wishing to learn more about engineering, agribusiness, information technology, construction engineering, and various other vocational disciplines.
Besides the exhibition, Politap also organized various creative competitions open for free to SMA/SMK/MA students, namely Infographic Design, Mobile Photography, Mobile Video, Command Dance (Joget Komando), and English Speech competitions. Registration was conducted digitally on 1–6 December 2025, and all winners will be announced on 10 December 2025. Participants' works were showcased online in accordance with competition rules.
Through this Open House, Politeknik Negeri Ketapang reaffirmed its commitment to continually being an adaptive, high-quality vocational education institution that remains close to the community. POLITAP hopes this event provides fresh insights for students and helps them prepare for future global competition. (Finn)
