KETAPANG – Monday (19/08/2024). Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) held an Open Senate Session for the Campus Life Orientation for New Students of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang for the 2024/2025 Academic Year.
Held in the courtyard of the Directorate Building of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, the event was attended by the Senate, the Director along with the Vice Directors, teaching staff (lecturers) and educational support staff within Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, as well as new students for the 2024/2025 Academic Year.
This event served as a welcome from Politeknik Negeri Ketapang to the new students before officially taking part in the series of PKKMB activities over the next three days, Tuesday–Thursday, 20–22 August 2024.
The session was opened by the Chair of the Senate, Mr. Normansyah, S.T. M.T. This was followed by remarks from the Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, Mr. Irianto SP, S.ST., M.MA.
In his address, the Director welcomed the 443 new students and encouraged them to develop their competencies while studying at Politeknik Negeri Ketapang.
“Congratulations to our new students who have officially joined Politeknik Negeri Ketapang. I hope that throughout your college years, you will develop various competencies, both academic and non-academic, broaden your experience, and engage in multidisciplinary collaboration,” the Director said.
The Director added that the PKKMB activities serve as a crucial initial platform to shift the mindset of new students from merely studying in higher education to independently charting their path to contribute and be beneficial to Indonesia.
After officially declaring the PKKMB activities open, the Director symbolically pinned participant badges on student representatives, marking their readiness to participate in the PKKMB activities over the next three days. (finn)
