Politap Holds Socialization on Code of Ethics

Held at the Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) campus, Politap organized a socialization on the Code of Ethics for lecturers and educational staff on 27 August 2020. The Code of Ethics serves as a guideline for employee attitudes, conduct, and actions in performing their duties and in daily interactions. Politap Director Endang Kusmana, who opened the event, stated that socializing the code of ethics is vital for fostering a healthy work environment.

According to Endang, Politap employees have an interesting diversity of backgrounds, including civil servants (PNS), prospective Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK), and non-ASN personnel. Nonetheless, the institution ensures that the code of ethics applied remains that of a government institution, explaining that as a public agency, it must operate in compliance with applicable regulations. This employee code of ethics covers guidelines for lecturers and educational staff, which include ethics toward oneself, ethics toward fellow educators/lecturers, ethics toward fellow POLITAP employees, ethics toward students, organizational ethics, societal ethics, and ethics toward the state. He hopes this socialization will foster a shared understanding among all personnel.
