Politap Holds Workshop for Educational Laboratory Staff

Laboratory staff (Pranata Laboratorium) is a functional position in the education sector previously known as laboratory assistants and technicians. Educational Laboratory Staff (PLP) is a position with the scope of duties, responsibilities, and authority to manage educational laboratories. To enhance the role of PLP in laboratory management, Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) held a PLP Workshop on 30 April 2019 at the Borneo Hotel Ketapang. Attended by 60 staff members across Politap, the event featured insights shared by workshop speakers from Politeknik Negeri Ketapang.

In his workshop address, the Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang stated that PLP plays an important role in laboratory management, which also impacts the quality of the tridharma of higher education. Through this workshop, technicians and laboratory assistants are expected to understand their duties and functions as well as their functional career pathways, enabling them to promptly submit proposals for their functional positions following the event.
