The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) issued Director's Circular Letter Number B/4/PL39/SE/2020 on the follow-up circular regarding the prevention of the spread of Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) within Politeknik Negeri Ketapang and Director's Circular Letter Number B/5/PL39/SE/2020 on procedures for employees working from home related to the prevention of the spread of corona virus disease (Covid-19) within Politeknik Negeri Ketapang. Both circular letters regulate the learning system by utilizing information technology, where from 17 March 2020 to 27 March 2020, face-to-face learning activities can be reduced and replaced with online methods or other digital platforms, or learning methods determined by lecturers in line with available facilities and infrastructure.
For employees, both teaching and administrative staff do not need to record electronic attendance (fingerprint) until 31 March 2020 or until a time to be determined later, replacing it with manual attendance in each work unit. To ensure services continue within Politap, heads of work units may arrange work schedules either at the office or from home.
On this occasion, the Director encouraged the Politap community to adopt a healthy lifestyle by observing and practicing the following: 1) Cultivate cleanliness by bathing, washing hands, or performing ablution (for Muslims) before traveling, 2) Carry hand sanitizer, 3) If feeling unwell, wear a mask and immediately visit the nearest healthcare facility, 4) If experiencing signs of fever above 37.5oC and respiratory issues such as sneezing, nasal congestion, coughing, or shortness of breath, immediately seek medical examination at the nearest healthcare facility, 5) When coughing or sneezing, cover with the upper sleeve or use a disposable tissue, 6) Do not share food, drinks, and wind instruments, and 7) Avoid direct physical contact (shaking hands, kissing hands, hugging, and the like).
