Politap Information Technology Students Win Gold Medal and Trophy at Mandalika Essay Competition 6

Lombok, 24 February 2025 – Students from the Information Technology Study Program, Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) (Ketapang State Polytechnic, Politap) have once again recorded a proud achievement in the Mandalika Essay Competition 6 (MEC 6)  held on 22-24 February 2025 in Lombok. The national essay competition organized by Nusantara Muda was attended by participants from various higher education institutions across Indonesia.

Politap sent a representative team consisting of Gita Faudia Abdul and Deswita Mutia Putri, students of the Information Technology Study Program. Their participation in this prestigious event yielded brilliant results, earning two awards at once. The Politap team won the Gold Medal in the Poster Presentation category for the Environmental subtheme and 3rd Consolation Prize in the Poster Presentation category for all subthemes.

This success is clear proof of the quality of Politap Information Technology students in academic and literacy fields. The achievement also demonstrates that Politap students are capable of competing with students from various prestigious universities in Indonesia.

The campus also expressed its appreciation for this new achievement made by Politap students in this national event.

“We are very proud of the achievements earned by Gita and Deswita. This proves that Politap students have superior academic competence, especially in literacy and scientific presentation. Hopefully, this achievement will inspire other students to continue competing and bring honor to the campus,” said a representative from Politap.

The Mandalika Essay Competition 6 itself is an annual event aimed at honing students' critical thinking skills in various fields. With this victory, Politap students are increasingly recognized as a competitive and high-achieving young generation on the national stage. Hopefully, this success will serve as motivation for other students to continue honing their academic abilities, thinking critically, and daring to take on challenges in national and international competitions.
