BANJARMASIN – Wednesday (21/09/2022). Held in the Multimedia Room of the Politeknik Negeri Banjarmasin Head Office, a preparatory workshop was organized for the launch of the State Polytechnic-Vocational Higher Education consortium in the mining sector. The event was attended by Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) (Ketapang State Polytechnic, POLITAP), Politeknik Negeri Malang (POLINEMA), and Politeknik Negeri Banjarmasin (POLIBAN) as the host. The event was also attended by Politeknik Salman Al-Farisi Rantau (POLISARIS), Politeknik Batu Licin (POLIBALI), and Politeknik Muara Teweh (POLIMAT), alongside industry representatives, namely PT Adaro Indonesia, PT Trakindo Utama, PT Pama Indonesia, and PT PPA.

Endang Kusmana, Director of Politap, stated that this activity was a follow-up to the previous agenda at Politeknik Negeri Malang. Key points formulated at Politeknik Negeri Malang and reinforced by industrial input have become the policy baseline to be developed within the mining consortium, which will soon be signed by the relevant stakeholders.

According to Endang Kusmana, the next meeting will be held at Politeknik Negeri Ketapang to develop instructional materials in collaboration with industry. Good practices from the industry will serve as material for textbook writing, thereby improving the implementation of the three pillars of higher education across the participating polytechnics.
