Politap New Students Attend Matriculation to Strengthen Academic Foundations

Ketapang, 25-28 August 2025 – Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) held a matriculation program for new students of the 2025/2026 academic year on 25–28 August 2025. This activity was carried out as an effort to strengthen students' foundational understanding before starting official lectures.

Over four days, new students received intensive learning in four basic courses: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and English. These four courses serve as an essential foundation in supporting the learning process across all study programs at Politap.

The matriculation material was delivered interactively and practically through a combination of teaching methods, such as group discussions, case-study-based exercises, and Q&A sessions that encouraged students to be active. This approach aims to ensure that students not only understand theory, but can also connect it to relevant practice in their respective fields of study.

Vice Director for Academic Affairs of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, Dr. Anto Susanto, S.ST., MP., stated that this matriculation was designed to help new students adapt to the academic environment.
“With a stronger foundational understanding of basic courses, we hope new students will be better prepared and confident in attending lectures and developing their competencies,” he said.

This activity also serves as a means for students to familiarize themselves with higher education learning methods, build discipline, and foster strong study motivation from the beginning of their academic journey. (Finn)
