Politap Prepares Scholarships for Outstanding Horseback Archery Athletes

The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic), Endang Kusmana, attended the inauguration and induction of the board members of the Indonesian Equestrian Sports Association (Pordasi) of Ketapang for the 2020–2024 term, held on the Politeknik Negeri Ketapang campus on Sunday, 18 October 2020. Also present at the event were the Commander of Kodim 1203/Ketapang, the Head of the Ketapang Youth and Sports Agency, the Chairman of KONI Ketapang Regency, and all board members of Pordasi Ketapang for 2020–2024 under the leadership of M. Puadi.

The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang warmly welcomed the inclusion of several members of the Politap academic community—including staff, alumni, and students—in the management of Pordasi Ketapang. This participation reflects support for boosting Ketapang's sporting achievements, particularly in equestrian sports and horseback archery. The Director noted that Politap has actively fostered sports development by providing facilities for archery training, with several Politap students having achieved success in various competitions in Ketapang, Pontianak, and Kuching, Malaysia, in 2019.

Endang Kusmana, who also serves on the board of Pordasi Ketapang as an advisor, affirmed that the institution is ready to provide scholarships to prospective and current students who excel in sports as part of nurturing student talents and interests. Politap is prepared to collaborate with all stakeholders across Ketapang Regency to enhance athletic performance, aiming to improve Ketapang Regency's standings at the Regional Sports Week (Pekan Olahraga Daerah) while actively contributing to the development of accomplished athletes.
