Jember, 28-30 September 2025 – A proud achievement was once again earned by a student of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) (Ketapang State Polytechnic, Politap). Ucia Maharani, a student of the Plantation Product Technology Study Program, successfully won the title of 2nd Winner Novice Category of Coffee Bean Sorting at the prestigious event The 7th International Agricultural Technology Innovation Competition (AITeC 7).
This international competition took place on 28–30 September 2025 at Politeknik Negeri Jember (Polije), East Java. This year, AITeC was special as it was attended by higher education institutions not only from Indonesia, but also from five countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Timor Leste, and China.
This event serves as a platform for student innovation, creativity, and competence in agricultural technology, including plantation product processing and food innovation. Beyond competition, AITeC also serves as a forum for sharing knowledge, research, and innovation among students and lecturers. The presence of international participants opened opportunities for the exchange of ideas and collaboration in addressing global challenges such as food security, agricultural technology, and sustainable development.
The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang expressed appreciation for this achievement. He emphasized that Ucia Maharani's achievement proves that Politap students are capable of competing not only at the national level, but also on international stages.
“Politap continues to encourage students to develop their potential in various fields, including international competitions. Ucia's success serves as motivation for other students to dare to compete and carve out achievements on the global stage,” stated the Director.

Ucia Maharani herself expressed pride in bringing honor to Politap on the international stage. She hopes this achievement will motivate other students to continue learning, innovating, and daring to try new experiences.
“This opportunity is not only a valuable experience, but also proof that regional students can also excel internationally. I hope more fellow Politap students will be motivated to follow in these footsteps,” said Ucia.
With this achievement, Politap further establishes itself as a vocational higher education institution consistently producing superior, adaptive, and innovative graduates. The student's success in international events like AITeC underscores Politap's role in supporting the vision of vocational education relevant to industrial needs, while addressing global challenges in agriculture and applied technology.
