Kubu Raya, 21 September 2025 – Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) students have once again achieved a proud milestone. Two female students from the Information Technology Study Program, Zoya Aurelia and Restu Azahra P, successfully won medals at the 2025 All-Indonesian Table Tennis Association (PTMSI) Provincial Championship held in Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan, Wednesday–Sunday, 17–21 September 2025.
In the competition attended by top athletes from across West Kalimantan, Zoya Aurelia delivered a stellar performance in the Junior Girls' Singles event, securing 3rd Place. Meanwhile, Restu Azahra P, who competed in both the Senior Women's Doubles and Senior Women's Team events, successfully secured two bronze medals, finishing in 3rd Place in each.
The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang expressed high appreciation for this achievement. He emphasized that the students' success in a provincial-level sporting event demonstrates the quality of Politap's human resources, who not only excel academically but also achieve distinction in non-academic fields.
“We are proud of Zoya and Restu's achievements. This success proves that Politap students possess extraordinary potential across various fields. The campus always fully supports every student's growth, both in academics and in their personal interests and talents,” he said.
The participation of both students received official permission from the campus, as stated in the permit request submitted by the Department of Electrical and Informatics Engineering to Politap lecturers and leadership.
Full support from the campus provided a major boost for them to compete with confidence in the arena.

Not only a source of personal pride, this achievement also brought honor to Politap at the provincial level. Zoya and Restu hope that their success will inspire other students to continue striving for excellence, both in sports and other fields.
“We thank the campus for granting permission and support, as well as our coach for continuous guidance. We hope this achievement will encourage our fellow Politap students to keep creating and excelling,” both expressed.
The 2025 PTMSI Provincial Championship itself serves as an important fixture in developing West Kalimantan table tennis athletes, as well as a selection event for national-level competitions. Through this success, Politap reaffirms its commitment as a vocational college that focuses not only on knowledge and skills, but also on fostering student character, discipline, and competitiveness across various fields.
