On Monday, 11 April 2022, a meeting was held in the Director's meeting room between the Politap Directorate, the management of the Department and the Plantation Crop Cultivation Study Program, PT. Kayong Agro Lestari, and International Animal Rescue. This meeting was held in the context of opening a village access class, namely a collaborative class between villages, industry, NGOs, and Politap to provide access to higher education for communities in Laman Satong, Kuala Satong, and Kuala Tolak villages.
Endang Kusmana, Director of Politap, stated that this Collaborative Class is an expansion of the link-and-match initiative involving industry, the Polytechnic, villages, and foundations. It is a breakthrough partnership class established under the D-IV Plantation Crop Cultivation Study Program with a curriculum jointly designed by Politap and industry, shared facilities and infrastructure, lecturers from Politap, industry, and foundations/NGOs, educational funding provided through CSR/scholarships, and graduates who are directly employed according to the positions required by industry. Politap strives to support industrial productivity by encouraging village residents to improve human resource quality, enabling local village talent to fill vacancies prepared by industry.
