Proud Achievement! POLITAP Karate Team Wins Bronze at PORSENI XV

Medan, 28 July 2026 – A proud achievement was once again accomplished by students of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) (Ketapang State Polytechnic, POLITAP) at the 15th All-Indonesian Polytechnic Sports and Arts Week (PORSENI XV). The POLITAP karate team won a bronze medal in the Men's Team Kata Karate category after delivering a solid and spirited performance throughout the competition.

The bronze medal was presented by three of POLITAP's best students: Wahyu Julendra from the Plantation Crop Production Technology (TPTP) Study Program, Aidil Saputra from the Computer and Network Engineering Technology (TRKJJ) Study Program, and Bahrul Ilmi from the Machine Maintenance Study Program.

This success proves that Politeknik Negeri Ketapang students not only excel in academic and vocational fields, but are also capable of achieving success in sports at the national level. Through disciplined training, strong teamwork, and a high fighting spirit, the three athletes brought honor to the institution at the event that brought together polytechnic students from across Indonesia.

The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang along with the entire academic community expressed appreciation and congratulations on the achievement earned by the karate team. This accomplishment is expected to motivate all students to continue developing their potential, both in academic and non-academic fields, and to continue bringing honor to Politeknik Negeri Ketapang in various competitions.

The participation and achievements attained at the 15th All-Indonesian Polytechnic PORSENI reflect POLITAP's commitment to supporting the comprehensive development of student talents. Through continuous coaching and mentoring, it is hoped that more students will achieve success at the regional, national, and international levels.
