River Cruise Tour: Featured Product of Politap Tourism Village

On Tuesday, 27 October 2020, the Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) Tourism Village Team conducted a survey of river cruise activities in Sungai Awan Kiri Village, Muara Pawan District, to develop one of the featured products of the Tourism Village. This program is part of Politap Membangun Vokasi Dari Desa.

Martanto, the person in charge of the collaborative activities, stated that the river cruising activity is part of the initiatives being developed by Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Sungai Awan Kiri Village Government. This activity is an effort by Politap to brand the River Cruise Tour.

The River Cruise Tour will be a tour package starting from Tanjung Belandang Beach, navigating the river through mangrove forests, and concluding with enjoying Ketapang's signature culinary dishes. Martanto added that his team is preparing various equipment, including PPE, to enhance the comfort and safety of the river cruise.

Martanto stated that the river cruise tour will become a featured product of the Politap Tourism Village to help Sungai Awan Kiri Village develop its tourism potential, hoping that the economy will recover along with the implementation of the new normal across various spheres of life, with the tourism industry serving as a key driver to boost Indonesia's economic growth.
