Surabaya, 15 December 2022, Located at Politeknik Elektronika Negeri Surabaya (PENS), the Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) attended a symposium on strengthening vocational education and the Topping-Off ceremony of the SBSN PENS Building. The event was held on 14 and 15 December 2022 and attended by the Director General of Vocational Education, the Director of Vocational Higher Education Academic Affairs, the Director of KLSD, the Director of Mitras Dudi, the Secretary of the Directorate General of Vocational Education, Directors of state polytechnics across Indonesia, and the Dharma Wanita of state polytechnics across Indonesia.
The Director of Politap, Endang Kusmana, conveyed that this event served as a sharing session aimed at advancing polytechnics as National Centers of Excellence, enhancing the institutional role of polytechnics, and reviewing progress on the proposed revision of Permendikbud 139/2014. The event also included discussions on the Dharma Wanita Work Program to strengthen polytechnics together with Dharma Wanita chapters of polytechnics across Indonesia.
Endang added that he presented ideas regarding the strategic role of polytechnics in the Kalimantan region in support of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN), including synergies among study programs as centers of excellence and collaboration among polytechnics, highlighting that the Director General of Vocational Education had provided clear directives regarding the role of polytechnics in the development of IKN.
