BAN-PT Assessor Team Visits Informatics Engineering Study Program

The Department of Informatics Engineering at Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) received a visit from the Assessor Team of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) for the accreditation visitation of Politap’s D3 Informatics Engineering Study Program. The Assessor Team consisted of Dr. Nur Rokhman, S. Si., M. Kom from Universitas Gadjah Mada and Setiadi Rachmat, B.Eng., M.Eng from Politeknik Negeri Bandung. The visitation took place on 15 – 17 October 2018.

The arrival of the assessor team was welcomed by the Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, Dr. Ir. Hj. Nurmala, MM, Head of the Informatics Engineering Study Program Yusuf, SST., MT, along with the Vice Directors, lecturers, and the Accreditation Form Team of Politap’s D3 Informatics Engineering Study Program. In her remarks, the Director welcomed the assessor team and introduced the personnel of the entire Accreditation Form Team. In addition, the Director expressed hope that the assessors would provide constructive feedback on areas for improvement in order to advance the D3 Informatics Engineering Study Program.

This visitation process is a follow-up step in study program accreditation. The assessor team will clarify the contents of the accreditation forms they received by directly observing conditions in the field, particularly regarding teaching and learning facilities as well as other supporting facilities such as lecture halls, the library, laboratories, and other supporting infrastructure.

This visitation process aims to enhance the quality of academic management at educational institutions. The submitted forms will be verified and validated by the two assessors.

The timeline for the assessment results following this visitation is usually variable. Once finalized, the results will be ratified through an official decree issued by BAN-PT. (AS)
