Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) held a Workshop on Formulating Organizational Governance, Strategic Plan, and Master Development Plan on Wednesday–Thursday, 24–25 October 2018 in the meeting hall on the second floor of the directorate building. This activity was attended by all directorate staff as well as Heads of Departments.
The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, Dr. Ir. Hj. Nurmala, MM, in her opening remarks expressed hope that all attending staff would participate in the event thoroughly until the end. The Director also hoped that this workshop would improve governance formulation within Politap in accordance with applicable regulations, preventing any misinterpretation of existing rules.
The workshop featured Drs. Abdul Muin Kadir, M.Pd from Politeknik Media Kreatif as a resource person. In his remarks, Abdul Muin explained the importance for new higher education institutions to understand regulations within higher education so as not to deviate from the rules set out in the Organizational Structure and Work Procedure (SOTK). However, currently, the issue of SOTK in New State Higher Education Institutions has become a common challenge that must be addressed together immediately.
Abdul Muin himself is experienced in assisting the drafting of SOTK in several new higher education institutions, particularly polytechnics. He encouraged all attending participants to refine the SOTK so that regulatory and governance frameworks at Politeknik Negeri Ketapang could be further improved.(AS)
