Ketapang, 2 May 2025 – In commemoration of National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2025, Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) held a solemn flag ceremony on Friday morning, 2 May 2025, in the Directorate Building courtyard. The ceremony was attended by all staff and students wearing the designated attire.
Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, Irianto SP, S.ST., M.MA., served as the ceremony inspector. On this occasion, he delivered the address from the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Brian Yuliarto, themed “Universal Participation Realizing Quality Education for All”.
In the speech delivered, Prof. Brian invited all education stakeholders to reflect on the national education transformation journey undertaken over the past five years through the Merdeka Belajar movement. He conveyed:
“Education is not merely a place of learning. It is the heart of civilization. It is a space where the intellect, character, and future of the nation are shaped. It is the birthplace of awareness and collaboration, two things we desperately need today,” he stated.
The theme “Universal Participation, Realizing Merdeka Belajar” is a call to take collective action. The Minister emphasized that educational transformation cannot be achieved alone. Collaboration among all stakeholders—government, educational institutions, educators, students, parents, business entities, and the wider community—is essential to sustain the Merdeka Belajar movement continuously.
The ceremony proceeded in an orderly manner full of enthusiasm. This Hardiknas momentum is expected to serve as a reminder that education is a shared responsibility, and every small step taken today will have a major impact on the future of Indonesia.
At the end of his address, Prof. Brian quoted the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Bapak Prabowo Subianto.
“Only nations that master science and technology will become prosperous nations,” he said.
