The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) conducted a working visit to the Ketapang Regency Health Agency to consult and coordinate plans for the Politeknik Negeri Ketapang Academic Year 2019/2020 graduation ceremony. The Director's working visit was welcomed by the Head of the Disease Prevention and Control Division, Mrs. Basaria Rajagukguk, and the Secretary of the Health Agency, Muhammad Ikbal.
The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang coordinated the implementation of a new normal graduation ceremony by holding it in person while strictly adhering to health protocols. According to the Director, his team will introduce innovations for this 2020 graduation. Endang added that of the estimated 400 graduating students, 95% are residents of Ketapang, 45% are from Kayong Regency, and 1% are from other regencies in West Kalimantan.
Meanwhile, the Health Agency in principle welcomed the graduation ceremony as long as health protocols are observed. They requested Politeknik Negeri Ketapang to submit an official letter to the Health Agency, which will later be coordinated with the Ketapang Regency COVID-19 Prevention Task Force.
Endang stated that his office would immediately submit a letter to the Senate to seek consideration regarding various options offered for holding the graduation ceremony. Subsequently, once reviewed by the Senate, it will be submitted to the Health Agency along with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for holding graduations during the COVID period. Endang concluded his explanation with a teaser regarding the ceremony, saying with a laugh that Politap would hold the graduation with a new innovation, perhaps the first of its kind in Indonesia.
