On Sunday, 22 May 2022, at Gelanggang Padepokan Kramat Sungai Jawi, Matan Hilir Selatan District, Ketapang Regency, the Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) together with the Head of the Ketapang Youth and Sports Agency represented by the Head of the Sports Cultivation Division, the Chairman of KORMI, as well as the Chairman and board members of FESPATO (Federasi Seni Panahan Tradisional Indonesia) attended the selection event for national-level FORNAS traditional archery participants, scheduled to take place in Palembang on 1–7 July 2022.
The Director of Politap, who also serves as an advisor to Fespati (Federasi Seni Panahan Tradisional Indonesia), encouraged strengthening the character of selection participants through archery to promote Ketapang's image as a talent pool for traditional archery athletes in Indonesia. Therefore, as an advisor to Fespati, he supports the departure of the Ketapang contingent for FORNAS.
On this occasion, the Director also encouraged 13 athlete members of Politap Archery (polarc) to strive as optimally as possible in this selection and help reinforce Ketapang as a hub for traditional archery athletes. He expressed commitment to supporting student interests and talents to foster their passion in archery while bringing honor to their alma mater and Ketapang Regency.
