Director of Politap Cup Series III 2025 Futsal Tournament Officially Underway

Ketapang, 3 February 2025 – The Director of Politap Cup Series III Futsal League officially kicked off on 2 February 2025 and will run until 16 February 2025 at Karisma Futsal Ketapang. This tournament brings together the best teams from various study programs at Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) as well as senior high schools (SMA/SMK/MA) across Ketapang Regency and Kayong Utara Regency (KKU).

The competition features two participant categories: between study programs at Politeknik Negeri Ketapang and between high schools (SMA/SMK/MA) across the two regencies. In the higher education category, 11 teams from various study programs at Politeknik Negeri Ketapang will compete for the championship title. Meanwhile, the inter-high school category involves 32 teams from various schools ready to showcase their best skills on the court.

All matches are officiated by referees from the Regency Futsal Association (AFK), ensuring professionalism and the smooth running of the competition. Each team will compete in the preliminary group stage before advancing to the knockout phase toward the final round, which will be held on 16 February 2025.

The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, Irianto SP, S.ST., M.MA., expressed his hope that students participate enthusiastically as players, committee members, and supporters. “This tournament is not merely a competitive event, but also momentum to build solidarity and strengthen the sense of togetherness among students. The higher the participation, the greater the positive impact we can all feel together,” he stated.

The organizing committee has also made various preparations to ensure the smooth execution of the tournament. “We have formed a solid committee, arranged a structured match schedule, and ensured the availability of facilities such as the court, experienced referees, and adequate security. In addition, coordination with various stakeholders, including sponsors and relevant units, is continuously carried out so that this event runs properly and smoothly,” said a committee representative.

The expected positive impacts of this tournament for students include fostering discipline, teamwork, and an unyielding spirit. Furthermore, this activity serves as a platform for students to channel their talents and interests in sports. Meanwhile, for the institution, this event contributes to student character development and reinforces the image of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang as a campus that not only excels academically, but also supports beneficial non-academic activities.

Observing the enthusiasm and perceived benefits, Politeknik Negeri Ketapang is considering making the Director Cup Futsal Tournament an annual agenda. “We want to continue developing this event into something bigger with even better concepts in the future. We are also open to new innovations that can make this event increasingly appealing to the entire academic community,” added the Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang.
