Politap Student Achieves Success in 2025 West Kalimantan Environmental Ambassador Competition

Ketapang, 3 February 2025 – A proud achievement was once again earned by a student of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) (Ketapang State Polytechnic, Politap). Endang Lestari, a 3rd-semester student of the Agroindustry Study Program, secured 4th place in the 2025 West Kalimantan Province Environmental Ambassador Selection. The competition, held in Pontianak, was attended by dozens of participants from various regions across West Kalimantan.

In addition to being active in various academic pursuits, Endang is also a member of the Politap Student Executive Board (BEM), further establishing herself as a student who is not only high-achieving but also actively contributes to student organizations.

During the event, Endang demonstrated her dedication and concern for the environment through various initiatives presented in the competition. Endang Lestari showcased her expertise and broad perspective on environmental issues, successfully securing a spot in the top four of this prestigious event.

In an interview following the event, Endang expressed her gratitude and pride over this achievement.

“I am very grateful to have made it to this stage. This is a very valuable experience, and I hope to continue contributing to environmental conservation, especially in West Kalimantan,” she said.

The Director of Politap, along with the academic leadership, also extended appreciation for the accomplishment earned by Endang. According to the campus leadership, this achievement reflects the commitment of Politap students to contributing to society and the environment.

“Endang Lestari's achievement proves that our students not only excel academically, but also possess strong social and environmental awareness. We are very proud and hope this achievement will inspire other students,” said a representative from Politap.

With this accomplishment, Endang Lestari is expected to serve as an active environmental ambassador in awareness campaigns and inspire the younger generation to care more deeply about environmental issues in Indonesia. (Finn)
