Director Reviews National Education System Bill with FDPNI

KETAPANG – Wednesday (14/09/2022). The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) attended an online review of the National Education System Draft Bill (RUU) held with several polytechnic directors and former polytechnic directors. This event was initiated by the board of the Indonesian State Polytechnic Directors Forum (FDPNI). Chairman of FDPNI Ahmad Taqwa, who is also the Director of Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya, stated that this event aimed to discuss key points to serve as input in the deliberations on the National Education System Bill.

During this meeting, several fundamental issues were discussed, including Educational Legal Entities, vocational education, and the bill's impact on the repeal of the National Education System Law, the Higher Education Law, and the Teachers and Lecturers Law. The Directors Forum agreed on several points to be submitted for the bill's deliberations.

Meanwhile, the Director of Politap stated after the event that higher education institutions cannot avoid current developments; every polytechnic must prepare itself to anticipate ongoing changes in the advancement of science and technology.
