Politap Director Attends Internship RPS Socialization with Kadin

JAKARTA – Friday (09/09/2022). The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) attended the socialization of the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) and European internship recruitment organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin). Also present at the event were the Director General of Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbudristek), Chairman of Kadin, Kadin Vocational Working Group, Polytechnic Directors, Association of Polytechnics and Industry (APII), and Vocational Lecturers.

General Chairman of Kadin, M. Arsjad Rasjid, stated that this activity is an implementation of Presidential Regulation Number 68 of 2022 concerning the Revitalization of Vocational Education and Vocational Training, in which Kadin is given room to encourage vocational revitalization, and Kadin even immediately formed a Vocational Working Group. One of the outputs of this working group is the preparation of the Semester Learning Plan and recruitment plans for internships in Europe.

Director General of Vocational Education Kiki Yuliati expressed appreciation to Kadin for vocational development through the formulation of the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) conducted by Kadin, making internships more accountable and measurable. The Director General of Vocational Education supports the implementation of Kadin's plans in revitalizing vocational education. According to her, vocational education is currently required to think and work differently, fostering real, tangible, and productive collaboration. The Director General hopes that vocational education and the business and industrial world (DUDI) synergize with vocational education that is relevant to the nation's future, ensuring that activities are continued, expanded, and strengthened.

Endang Kusmana, Director of Politap, welcomed the presence of the RPS prepared by Kadin as a guideline in implementing Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka, especially for 20-credit off-campus internships. He hopes that the Head of Department and Study Program Coordinator can implement the prepared RPS by enhancing cooperation with the business and industrial world.
