English Hours in Politap

Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) continues its efforts to improve the quality of human resources, particularly in enhancing English language proficiency. The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang opened an English language training program for management personnel, which commenced on 7 January 2021 with the assistance of coach Maria Wahono.

Endang Kusmana, Director of Politap, stated at the opening of the event that in an effort to realize Politap's vision at the international level, initiatives to improve the quality of human resources with English language skills must be pursued. According to him, this will be realized through the English Hours in Politap program. “To start this program, management is given top priority because management is the first to interact with the outside world, followed gradually by lecturers, administrative staff, and students,” Endang added.

Endang hoped that everyone would be motivated to learn English through unique methods so that the improvement in English language proficiency hits the mark effectively. “We are trying to map out a priority scale alongside restructuring the UPT Bahasa organization, so that in the future this activity can be carried out independently.”
