The virtual meeting of the Indonesian State Polytechnic Directors Forum (FDPNI) was held on 9 April 2020 and attended by all Polytechnic Directors. This meeting discussed polytechnic efforts to participate in preventing the spread of Covid-19, monitoring online learning systems, discussing internet quota assistance, and SBMPN 2020. The meeting was chaired by the Head of FDPNI, Zainal Arief, who is also the Director of Politeknik Elektronika Negeri Surabaya (PENS).

The meeting decided to maximize online learning while considering the consequences of quality decline, the provision of internet subsidies must exercise prudence in state financial management or await an official circular from the Ministry of Finance, and SBMPN will be discussed in more detail later.

The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) emphasized that the obstacle to online learning at Politap currently is signal connectivity in the students' home regions, considering the vast area of Ketapang Regency. For now, theoretical courses can still be conducted, but practical sessions require further study. Internet quota assistance must await permission from the ministry and the availability of funds. Regarding SBMPN, Politap will follow the mechanism decided by the Indonesian State Polytechnic Directors Forum. To take part in preventing the spread of Covid-19, Politap will strive to provide assistance through the distribution of hand sanitizers, medical hazmat suits, face shields, and masks to staff, medical personnel, community health centers, and the general public.
