Politap’s 12th Anniversary: Working, Productive, and Performing from Home

Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) was established in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 66/D/O/2008 dated 8 April 2008 concerning the granting of study program operating permits and the establishment of Politeknik Ketapang in Ketapang, West Kalimantan, organized by the Pangeran Iranata Foundation in Ketapang. In 2014, Politeknik Pangeran Iranata changed its status to Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, thereby becoming a government work unit under the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education through the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 15 of 2014 concerning the establishment, organization, and work procedures of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Politap). 8 April marks the anniversary (dies natalis) of Politap, so for the year 2020, Politap has reached 12 years of age.

Director of Politap, Endang Kusmana stated that the atmosphere of this year's anniversary is different compared to previous years; while in previous years it was celebrated on campus and with the surrounding community involving many people, in 2020 we are conducting our anniversary reflection from home. The concept to be developed is working, being productive, and performing from home. The purpose of holding the 2020 Anniversary is to achieve more measurable outputs through:

  1. Realizing the Politap Database to strengthen the 9 Accreditation Standards,
  2. Strengthening the Job Map and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to achieve a productive Work From Home (298 SOPs),
  3. Empowering the Politap Integrated Information System (4 Simadu modules, 11 animated videos & 6 posters/photographs),
  4. Refocusing research and community service activities to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (20 research activities, 12 community service activities),
  5. Increasing the awareness of the academic community and educational staff to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (3 activities).

The types of anniversary activities this year are intended for:

  1. Politap profile short video competition for students
  2. Work motivation poster competition for students
  3. COVID-19 community service photography competition for students
  4. Politap service animation short video competition for students
  5. COVID-19 relief social service (distribution of hand sanitizers, medical hazmat suits, face shields, and masks)
  6. Social assistance for the Ketapang melawan corona program
  7. Research grants for lecturers
  8. Community service grants for lecturers
  9. Textbook writing assignments for lecturers
  10. Jobsheet writing assignments for lecturers
  11. SIAKAD-based RPS preparation assignments for lecturers
  12. Laboratory SOP drafting assignments for technicians
  13. Manual book preparation assignments for technicians
  14. Service SOP drafting assignments for non-technician educational staff
  15. Service digital design assignments
  16. Assignments for the validation of IKU and IKK 2020-2024 for the Head of Department and Department Secretaries
