First Resources Ltd. Recruitment at Politap: A Golden Career Opportunity for Alumni

Ketapang, 17 March 2025 – Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) hosted a recruitment event held by First Resources Ltd., an oil palm plantation company. The event took place at the Politap Directorate Hall and was attended by Vice Director for Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Information Systems, Erick Radwitya S.ST., M.T., as well as the Head of the Center for Research and Community Service (P3KM) Politap, Muh Anhar, S.T., M.T.

This recruitment was opened for the positions of Mandor and Kerani Tanaman, aiming to attract energetic and highly competent young workers in the plantation sector. The event was attended by 25 applicants, comprising Politap alumni and members of the general public.

In his remarks, the Vice Director for Student Affairs stated that this recruitment event is a tangible manifestation of collaboration between industry and higher education in creating job opportunities for graduates and the local workforce in Ketapang.

“We hope this event will provide significant benefits for job seekers, especially Politap alumni, allowing them to pursue careers in major corporations like First Resources Ltd.,” he said.

Following an information session on the company profile, participants underwent a selection process that included written tests, interviews, and document verification such as ID cards (KTP) and CVs. The selection results were announced on the same day, while successful candidates will proceed to the medical check-up (MCU) stage on 7–13 April 2025.

Through this recruitment, it is hoped that more local talent can be absorbed into industry while building sustainable careers. First Resources Ltd. also expressed appreciation to Politap for the established partnership and hopes to continue fostering good relations in supplying a qualified workforce in the future. (finn)
