Ketapang Customs Launches Silayang App Developed through Politap IT PBL

KETAPANG – Wednesday (11/09/2024). The Customs and Excise Supervision and Services Office of Medium Customs Type C (KPPBC TMP C) Ketapang launched a new application called Selayang, developed through Project Based Learning by the Information Technology Study Program of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) on Wednesday, 11 September 2024, at the Ketapang Customs Office.

This application was developed through a collaboration between KPPBC TMP C Ketapang and Politeknik Negeri Ketapang via the Information Technology study program, serving as an outcome of the project-based learning (project based learning) implemented in Politap's Information Technology Study Program.

In this Project Based Learning (PBL), students learn to solve real-world problems in industry under the mentorship of lecturers (Project Managers) and partners (Co-Project Managers). Through the PBL model, students acquire critical thinking skills, the ability to work in teams, and problem-solving capabilities to address challenges they encounter.

The Selayang application (Ketapang Customs Application System) is a web-based application system built to serve the public, particularly service users of KPPBC TMP C Ketapang .

The Silayang application is designed to be a modern solution providing convenience for KPPBC TMP C Ketapang service users in carrying out customs and excise administration.

It is hoped that with this application, service users wishing to submit letters, applications, or reports can do so digitally. Through this application, service users can also monitor the progress of their submitted requests.

Currently, KPPBC TMP C has conducted a soft launching. The application is planned to be fully implemented and accessible to service users in December 2024. (finn)
