KETAPANG – Thursday (29/08/2024). Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) conducted a competency prediction assessment for educational support staff (Tendik) with State Civil Apparatus (ASN) status. The assessment took place on Wednesday–Thursday, 28–29 August 2024, at the Integrated Laboratory, Lecture Building II, Politeknik Negeri Ketapang. One assessment session was held each day, lasting 5 hours and 30 minutes, from 07:30 to 13:00 local time.

The competency prediction assessment is a process of measuring individual potential to predict employee competence within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology using specific instruments.

The target of this assessment is all employees who meet the criteria and have been registered as candidate participants for the 2024 assessment, and it is mandatory for registered participants. At Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, 41 employees participated in the 2024 assessment.

The assessment comprised four instruments for the Employee Competency Prediction Assessment, including cognitive tests, personality tests, values tests, and situational tests, measuring 8 managerial competencies and 1 socio-cultural competency, with a total of 412 questions in general.

The purpose of this assessment is to gather competency prediction profile data of employees within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology as input for human resource management, encompassing competency development, talent management, rotation/transfer, and promotion.

The benefits for institutions and work units include serving as supporting material in human resource management, which covers competency development, talent management, rotation/transfer, and promotion. In addition, the benefits of taking the assessment for the employees concerned include gaining an overview of their self-potential, identifying appropriate self-development needs, and opening opportunities to be selected in talent management.
