Tanah Laut, 16 November 2022 – The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) delivered a public lecture to new students of Politeknik Negeri Tanah Laut (Politala) for the 2022/2023 Academic Year at the GTK Hall of Politeknik Negeri Tanah Laut.
The Director of Politala, Mufrida Zein, expressed her gratitude to the Director of Politap for his willingness to deliver a public lecture to the new students so that the Director of Politap's experience could inspire Politala students. The life journey of the Director of Politap as a migrant worker full of struggle who succeeded in reaching his current position is an extraordinary and inspiring journey.
Meanwhile, Endang Kusmana, the Director of Politap, shared a glimpse of his life story, with a background of his father working as a shoe repairer and his mother as an itinerant fried snack vendor; Endang even attended college while working as a sandal seller, ginger beverage vendor, and balloon seller just like any struggling migrant. Endang shared his life principles: intention, conviction, and gratitude.
Endang also shared tips on completing college amidst financial limitations until graduation, noting that his career journey included being laid off three times—tough life experiences that fostered resilience and determination, ultimately leading him to become a polytechnic Director.
Students of Politeknik Negeri Tanah Laut enthusiastically welcomed this story, as evidenced by the numerous questions and statements from the students attending this public lecture.
