Politap and BSM New Material Ready to Formulate Internship Competency Standards

The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic), accompanied by the Vice Director for Student Affairs, Martanto from the Cooperation Division, and cooperation staff Amanda, paid a working visit to PT BSM New Material in the Ketapang Industrial Park area. The visit was received by HRD Manager Mr. Marsel and staff on Friday, 2 October 2020.

This meeting was a follow-up to previous meetings between Politap and PT BSM. It evaluated various areas of cooperation, particularly in relation to the latest conditions of vocational education and the company during this pandemic.

Regarding the one-year or minimum six-month internship program, the company welcomed it warmly; however, the program must be more directed, especially by preparing a pocket guidebook for internship competency standards. This includes internship planning, curriculum weighting, internship learning materials, expected outcomes, and reports to be compiled. Both parties agreed that in future meetings, internship competency standards will be formulated for both lecturer and student internships.
