On Thursday, 9 June 2022, the Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) visited the Ketapang Customs office. This visit was intended to discuss the upcoming “MSME Week 2022” event. Dede Hendra Jaya, as Head of the Ketapang Customs and Excise Supervision and Services Office (KPPBC) Intermediate Type C, stated that organizing this event is expected to increase public awareness regarding MSMEs and how MSMEs can export their products.
The MSME Week 2022 event is a national-scale event that will be held simultaneously by all work units under the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) across Indonesia on 20–22 June 2022. Through this activity, MSME entrepreneurs will receive socialization and information regarding MSME insights, micro-business financial management, as well as knowledge related to product exports. In addition to socialization, competitions will also be held during this event with the hope of attracting more MSME entrepreneurs in Ketapang Regency.
Bearing the theme “Upgrading MSMEs, Accelerating the Economy”, DJBC hopes that organizing this event will enhance product quality so that more MSME products can penetrate international markets. In supporting this program, Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (POLITAP) provides support in improving the quality of MSME products through Project Based Learning and MSME mentoring. (Finan Su)
