Following the visit of the International Animal Rescue (IAR) team to Politap on 2 October 2020, it was the Politap team's turn to visit the IAR office in Sungai Awan Kiri Village, Ketapang on Friday, 16 October 2020. The Director and Politap delegation were welcomed by Dr. Karmele Llano Sanchez, Executive Director, and her team. This visit aimed to outline the steps both teams will take in their collaborative activities.

Endang Kusmana outlined the envisioned collaboration, particularly regarding the empowerment of lecturers' or students' innovation outcomes to synergize with IAR's data and access to produce innovative products beneficial to the community. Meanwhile, Executive Director Dr. Karmele welcomed this partnership warmly, stating that her team would soon draft a timeline for the planned cooperation between Politap and IAR in the near future.

At the end of the visit, the Director of Politap and the delegation were invited on a tour of the Sir Michael Uren Learning Centre, inaugurated on 10 July 2019, located within the IAR Indonesia office complex on Jl. Ketapang-Tanjungpura, km 1.3, Sei Awan Kiri Village, Muara Pawan District, Ketapang. Spanning approximately 2,000 square meters and designed based on traditional Kalimantan architecture, the learning center boasts several facilities, including spacious meeting rooms for workshops and presentations, a café, and ample open spaces for training and seminars, making it the first learning center with the most comprehensive facilities in Kalimantan.

Concluding the visit, Endang expressed that this synergy between IAR and Politap would enhance the quality of the Politap 'Building Vocational Education from Villages' program, especially through collaborative empowerment of lecturers' and students' research findings for community needs by leveraging the data and access possessed by IAR in Ketapang Regency.
