Politap and Ministry of Law Sign IP Cooperation Agreement

Ketapang, 4 September 2025 – Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) together with the West Kalimantan Regional Office of the Ministry of Law signed a Cooperation Agreement on the protection and utilization of intellectual property.

The signing ceremony was held in the Main Meeting Room of the Ketapang Regency Regional Secretariat Office and was coupled with an audience on the Utilization of Intellectual Property and the Establishment of West Kalimantan Legal Aid Posts.

The event commenced with participant registration, singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya, a joint prayer, and welcoming remarks from the Regent of Ketapang Regency, represented by the Vice Regent of Ketapang Regency. Subsequently, the Head of the West Kalimantan Regional Office of the Ministry of Law delivered a presentation on intellectual property and Posbankumdeskel, followed by an interactive discussion session.

This milestone was marked by the presentation of plaques and the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between the Head of the West Kalimantan Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and the Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang.

This collaboration is expected to strengthen the role of higher education in encouraging the protection of public works and the utilization of intellectual property, while expanding access to legal aid services at the village and sub-district levels. (Finn)
