On Saturday, 21 November 2020, at the representative office of PT Sampoerna Group Pontianak on Jalan Akcaya, Pontianak, the Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) and his delegation were received by the management of PT Sampoerna Group West Kalimantan. The purpose of the Politap team's visit was to maintain good relations with Sampoerna management in order to strengthen the ongoing partnership between Politap and PT Sampoerna Group, especially in Ketapang. The Politap and Sampoerna teams conducted an evaluation of the graduate profile being formulated for the fast-track program.
Endang Kusmana, Director of Politap, stated that his team is currently reviewing the Politap graduate profile based on tracer study findings, which indicated that Politap graduates need strengthening in terms of a fighting spirit. Therefore, this visit to PT Sampoerna aimed to obtain feedback regarding the survey results.
Meanwhile, HRD Manager of Sampoerna Pontianak, Mr. Iwan, conveyed that, in general, higher education graduates in West Kalimantan still lack a fighting spirit compared to graduates from outside West Kalimantan. Consequently, he hopes the Polytechnic can reinforce this aspect so that Politap graduates can enhance company productivity through the fulfillment of employees possessing a fighting spirit.
Both Politap and PT Sampoerna Group agreed to formulate graduate competencies encompassing hard skills, soft skills, honesty, morals, and integrity, marked by excellence, independence, and discipline.
